    Default Hand gun grips

Hey guys, I've been asked if I can cut custom hand gun grips. I've told them, "If I can figure out how to do 3D designs I can do them".

My question is, where do I go to get some information on how to do this type of design work? Or who here can get me going in the right direction? I was going to start with some Taurus grips, which I have the shapes figured out. I've imported the outline into my CAD program too, but haven't been able to figure that out either.

Does someone out there have these files already done, and modifiable for sale?

Any help would be very appreciated.

Let me know if you happen to need crv or gcode files for Walther PPKS grips (I hope I can still find it...) : http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showthread.php?22875-Pistol-grip-texture&p=190551#post190551
For that I started out with a 3D-model from the Internet but recreated that in CAD for better accuracy. It was kind of time consuming project with all the little inside detail features but the result in Acacia was pretty nice. Next time I will try olivewood.

It depends on the grips you are looking for. I have files for the 1911.

Well, after reading that thread, doing some research, I think I'm headed in the right direction.

I may try to do a trial run tomorrow. These are for a Beretta, not the Taurus, but I think from here I can modify what is here. (And maybe I'm fooling myself)

If anyone has any other suggestions, ideas or help, please post them up.

Am looking for Taurus PT99 grips. Beretta grips are close but will require some mods.
