Buddy Surface Board Off
I have had my buddy standard 32 for more than 3 yrs. PC router. I tried 3X to surface my spoilboard and each time I get .005 difference from ine end of the X axis to the other end. The variation starts about half through the spoilboard. See photo. The X's are where the cutter drops a litte deeper .005"
Running 1-1/4" surfacing bit
20% over
2/1 ips
PC 3-1/4 HP
Rastering pocket along X axis
Any thoughts on what it might be?
Thanks
Angelo

Chances are i am not addressing your issue. I also have buddy. The spoil board has to be square with the table, so at times the planning will be deeper in spots.
Recently i noticed some uneven cutting on my plaques. My spoil board is almost 1.4 inches thick and the wood that i work with is 1.7, so together very rigid. I found that my rollers had gunk on them, so every time the board hit the gunk, the table raised and i cut a groove in the plaque. so i lowered my rollers enough so that they dont touch the spoil board and my cuttings are better.
Like i said this more than likely is not your issue.
