    Default For Sale: PRT48x48standard with new V4G controller

    Totally refurbished ShopBot PRT48x48standard with a new V4G control box upgrade and new USB controller card. Machine now has same speed and resolution as a new Standard ShopBot. Fully assembled with Porter Cable 3.25hp and ready to plug in. New dust skirt, wire guide, table top. 5400.00.00 plus shipping. Here is a dropbox link to the machine carving 3d at 5"/sec.

    If you are willing, it would be helpful to know how much it sold for. Glad it sold quickly.

    I like how shopbot keeps the sold machines up on the forum so people can get an idea of prices.

    I agree. And other posts from years ago are still helpful to those coming along later still using old ShopBot configurations. It would really be helpful to confirm sales price, tho. We only know what the tool was offered at, not what it sold for. There could be a big disparity between the two...

    I have setup and serviced a number of recently purchased "newsed" machines for the purchasers. Knothead is correct. There is usually a big difference. Many don't run well.

    That will not be the case with a machine from Chris. When he says totally refurbished, he means it. He IS the man when it comes to PRT's and what makes them run well. I'll bet he actually touched most every PRT that went out the door.
