Default Changing Feed Speeds while cutting

    Hi Everyone
Does anyone know if there is a way you can change the feed speed of a cutter while the part is running? A dynamic speed control if you will.

    Thanks

    Shift + > or Shift + < to lower.

    Ben,
SHIFT < or > to decrease/increase feed speeds using your keyboard. Increments in .10 steps either direction. Response is delayed if you do so while cornering, smoother if done while following a straight vector.
Also, expect to notice a little rougher cornering after increasing speed. Altering MS on the fly seems to disrupt the algorithm that ramps / smooths speeds when cornering. Once you're comfortable with proper rate, you'll want to set this in the part file for optimal performance.
In short: only use this occasionally as an aid to ascertaining optimal feed speeds.

To maintain proper ramping, use spacebar/insert/MS/change the values/enter/resume.

I will use the shift plus <> to change then when I get to the speed that sounds right I hit the space bar and then resume to get the ramp set.

I've gotten into the habit of never changing my linear speed more than .4IPS before I go back to the original file and changing it! Much better results on small VCarves(Ala Brady).
It really affects cut quality on VCarving(especially corners and reverse directions).
Jerry, does Pause/Resume affect Ramp Settings?

Newbie here but when changing speeds dynamically, how does one know what the updated speed is or did I just not see it on the screen when I did it?

Watch the move/cut speed value in the console as you do it.

Does anybody know if the ramping speed issue with bumping feed up or down while running a part file has been resolved? I am on version 3.6.44

    thanks, Jon

No it hasn't. Just stop the tool via S key or spacebar, I then MS and enter new speed. It will then recalculate with proper ramping.
