    Default Vaccuum Jig

Has anyone ever tried this vacuum jig for small piece hold down/clamp on their SB?

This is a similar vacuum set up for a Shopbot desktop. Vacuum plenum_shopbot1.jpg works great!

Before I got my Bot I used something similar to hold relatively small parts to hog off and shape 10" circles from octagon shaped pieces, and other things. I was hand holding a fairly fifty Bosch Router with a hefty straight bit. They worked very well but occasionally would loose vacuum, especially of dust got on the seals, so, keep an eye on it when running.

It would be helpful if you could give an idea what you are trying to hold. There are many variations of vacuum hold down that can work for different applications.
