    Default Y axis misalignment

I have a shopbot desktop max and I keep having a problem with the Y axis not being perpendicular to the X axis. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions. Thank you.

Have you run the C3 squaring file? It is one of the cut files to download. Also, it runs if you type C3 in the command line.

Is that any different than the X,Y zero function? I just typed in C3 in the command line and it just seemed to run the X,Y zero function.

    Call Tech maybe.
There WAS a problem with some of the Max's being out of square in the Y last year(They replaced the machines).
They may be able to tell you what's up.

C3 (homing routine) will not square an out of square machine. There is something not right mechanically, best to check with SB first. If your are mechanically inclined, do a little troubleshooting on alignment/square of the components first.

There's a routine that you can run to square the gantry on the Max. It's described on page 17-18 in the Max Quickstart guide...if you don't have it you can download it here:

    Ron...
No. The C3 uses the limit switches to set the XY zero (Table Based). Has nothing to do with the gantry being square
