    Default Kent Dust Shoe Question

I have a Kent DS and I want to have it set up so it is not connected to the router. I have a PC router and don't want the foot to go up and down with the router. I propose to support it by the hose end, and use a piece of plastic taped over the router hole with a smaller hole for the head and bit to cut the work through.

Anyone done this? Any comments or suggestions?

    Thanks
