That looks great. I often see some really nice 3d carvings that have been spoilt because not enough thought or attention went into choosing and aligning the wood for the glue up. Mismatched colors and grain. You nailed it with this one. All of the boards blend together very well and don't detract from the carving.

i wish all of my wood was that pretty,but i can not take credit for it. It was supplied by the buyer. Most of the time there are serious color differences in my planks.
