    Default Bed Post Turnings

Here are some photos of some bed posts for a Japanese inspired bed which I turned last week. They are 87" long and started out 4 1/2" square.

Looks like it'll be a nice bed! How did you cut the mortises?

They are sapele. The posts are glued of three pieces and made I the mortises during the glue up by spacing out the center pieces. It will have a Waterfall Bubinga headboard.
