Spindle still spinning long time

I have a 5hp spindle with Yaskawa V1000 and I can not seem to find a way to slow the spindle continuing to spin after a carve or cut to change for another carve or cut. I have changed the deceleration time and it does not seem to work. Can anyone help me with this. It spins for about 2 minutes before it stops. or is this normal...Thanks

Since you are playing in the VFD parameters, you might want to check to make sure that dynamic braking is enabled. Might be parameter name "Stop Method". Ramp to stop is the option I suggest.
