Had to duplicate these round moldings for a 150 year old house. careful alignment is crucial when flipping for the bottom side cuts!

Good work Ron. I am always impressed when someone makes the effort, and has the skill to exactly replicate old wood work! Chuck

Nice job Ron ~ Just a critique/observation/question....
In the 1st pic, the repro part appears to have a slight divot/flat/cusp at the apex of the round. This leads me to believe from experience that a roughing pass wasn't run & the ball gouged the top surface on the first pass. Was this the case?
Not trying to take anything away from your great work...just curious & looking to compare notes since I had this happen on a teak part last week.

Hi Brady,
I noticed that, too. A roughing pass was run, but the material was either slightly under 1.75" thick or I forgot to center the model in the material, which left a slight flat on it. As you can see from the original piece, after years of sanding, they were anything but round, so a slight sanding worked well for this piece. ;-)
