Unhappy Z jogs too high after update

Updated software to 3.8.46. Have a few things I need to work out. Most troubling for me is that the Z Axis jogs up an inch when I click OK after starting the Spindle. A lot of my work is 3" tall, requires a 3" End Mill, and 1" of travel clearance. That 1" can make it hit the top and crash so I need to find how to turn it off.

    Any ideas?

You have previously set the safe Z height to lower than the default 1" You will have to do that again with the new software

    Default But...

But I set the Safe Z differently for almost every cut, depending on clamping methods.

Are you referring to the safe Z set in the design software or the one that you set in the ShopBot software in the [T] [S] (tool setup) menu?

    Default Good Point

Good point, it is the design software that is set differently for each cut.

However, I've been through the TS setup 3 times and don't see anything that mentions Z.

Gary, I want to personally thank you and all the ShopBotters who have dedicated countless hours to helping people on these forums.

You all have directly and indirectly helped me learn more about the tools, but also have helped people solve their issues before even having to reach out to us in support (and sometimes after).

Kudos - some day I'll have to make a dedicated post naming you all with my thanks.
