    Default Hickory Tables

Finished up the tables for the chairs had enough hickory in the pile for them. Hickory is a hard wood to work with I was sharpening planer blades on a regular basis.

Just in time for the nuns to have dinner on Holy Thursday.

Beautiful work! Could you share a little about your breadboard connections? I'm intrigued.

I LOVE hickory, but it sure is a pain to work with -- especially tear out.

I used a biscuit jointer for alignment, and as shown in the picture routed a pocket on the top and breadboard for bolts to pull it tight but still allow for seasonal movement.

Really like seeing your work. Hickory is beautiful. The nuns will be proud of their new tables and chairs.
