Default for sale 2004 PRS Alpha new in the crate 48 x 96

I have had this machine in dry storage for some years and never set it up.

    It is a 2004 PRS Alpha 3 phase with a 5 hp Columbo spindle. 48" x 96"

    Asking $9,000

It is missing the 10' steel side channels. I have have the spec sheet for the dimensions and hole positions.

    The computer has 2 monitors.

Also comes with the 3d scanner and pvc vacuum valves and pipe.

    Am located in Sacramento, California

    Must be picked up locally.

    Thanks, John

Just to clarify some info for prospects. 2004 would be a 96x48 PRT Alpha (PRS started in 2007) - which include a small difference in the controls, it would likely be run on a serial-usb connection and need SB3 v3.6.46. The controller card can be upgraded (if not already) to the current version and be able to run the current SB3 software version for about $200 from ShopBot.

The steel channels could certainly be manufactured by another company. ShopBot offers the new extruded aluminum table sides and hardened rails for the VBearings to ride on. This would be a few thousand from ShopBot, a relatively common upgrade for tools this age.

And the 3d Scanner, is that the 3d Digitizing Probe? - http://www.shopbottools.com/ShopBotD...izingProbe.pdf

    Happy sales

    Thanks Tom for the corrections

The the machine is a PRT alpha.

I talked with a local steel supplier and fabricator about the channels. I will try to get current cost to fabricate the channels with the holes.

Yes, it is the digitizing probe. New in the box.

Pictures can help get you more visibility too, John!

Yeah the sides weren't too complicated at the time, just no longer have them here at ShopBot

    Hello all,

My wife convinced me to keep the machine a bit longer.

My apologies to all for posting the machine for sale.
