Default How to make a vacuum hold down table for a 4 X 8 machine.

Can anyone recommend a "how to" video for making a Vacuum hold down table for my CNC? It's a 4 X 8 prs alpha. I would like to use a vacuum pump for this project and would like to know how powerful it would need to be to give me exceptional hold down.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

Wow. That is a loaded statement. The phrase "exceptional hold down" can mean a lot of different things. I got away with a single phase rotary blower. Others need large 3 phase heavy duty machines that cost $5k.

This forum has literally hundreds of threads on the topic. I suggest spending some time researching your requirements and narrow your specs a bit more. There is no simple and easy answer to the problem you're trying to solve.

job #1 is to define as closely as possible what you are going to hold down. plywood and hardwood have completely different vacuum hold down techniques. small parts are different than large sheets and etc.
