Motor not moving

I'm getting vibration and noise from my x axis and no movement. Any suggestions? The x axis moves freely.

my y axis stepper motor went belly up about a year ago. as i recall i could feel and hear vibration coming from the motor. not a cheap repair

You should include all the technical details about your machine including year purchased, machine model, stepper model and the software version you are running. Also include any steps you've taken to debug the problem.
