    Thanks about the tip on the hoses getting hot and collapsing. Before your post, I was considering running the two hoses into a custom box that has a 3 inch diameter output to my manifold. Looks like I need to come out of the Feins with permanently fixed 2 inch PVC pipes that feed into my custom box.

    Make a box to fit the vac tops and pipe them from there (2" pvc).
    One of ours had a meltdown so I cut it up and just dropped the motor in.

    did that but I had problems with heat. maybe i sealed it too well and not enough air leaked in
