    Default 5 piece doors

    I'm looking to make 5 piece wood doors on my machine. I have a small shop and being able to fixture the rails and styles and cut the profiles and cope the ' have been purchasing doors. but I have to dance to there schedule and would like to bring it in house to control the quality better Not looking to kick hornets nest just looking to chat with people who have done it or are doing it

    Doing that on a single head flat bed CNC just isn't very efficient.
    Not saying you can't, but the logistics aren't worth it IMHO.
    Picking up a 3 headed shaper table would be an up-front expense that would pay for itself in production speed very quickly.
    For ordering out I dealt with Custom Doors and Drawers in Ontario for years and they were high quality, fair priced, and on time:

    For my own touch often I would outsource frames only and do my own panels and applied moldings using materials and/or designs that are not available.

    It's kind of like using a screwdriver as a hammer. You can make it happen if you just want to, but it's not the best tool for the job.
