    Default Slight error in distance

I have a PRT Alpha with the 7.2:1 upgrade. I cut a rectangle 80 by 40 and noticed the cut was actually 80 1/16 by 40 1/32. I dont think it was bit deflection because the error was directly proportional to the length. The bit diameter is dead on. If there was a runout problem I would expect the rectangle to be undersize.

Has anyone else see anything like this?

Your pinion gears could be off just a little. Use the unit values to bring the size into proper specs.

Don't know if it is related, but........ I was cutting some 96 x 48 material, noticed my cuts were off approx 1/32 on the 48" side, and approx 1/16 at 96". Never figured out why, but SB support gave me slightly different unit values to use, fixed the error. What unit values are you using, I'll look at what I have mine set at. Never know - might work, unless there is something else causing the error. Only takes a few minutes to try it either way.

I calculated new unit values and I was going to use them ... but then I decided to measure how far the car actually moved when I commanded a 96" move. It moved 96" + or - 1/128". (My accuracy in measuring 96" is not likely to be that good.)

    Curious ...

I ran a test case and cut two lines that were specified to be exactly 80" apart. The result was exactly 80" from left edge to left edge of the cut. I don't know what happened before.
