    Default Difficulty posting project photos

I've loaded a few dozen photos onto this website for Show and Tell. I've tried to add a new photo to display. I can't get it to load. It's been resized to less than 300 kb. I've loaded larger photos.
    What can I do?

How are you trying to insert them?

Lately the only way that works for me is to use the insert image icon.

The manage attachments option hasn’t worked for me
    for awhile.

Thanks, Steve. I wonder if this has something to do with why we haven't see as many project posts lately.

If I recall correctly, this forum has limitations on the size of images being uploaded. I ran into this a while ago and there was no mention from the forum software that the image was too big. I just made it smaller and it uploaded correctly. I think the limitation is physical size as in bytes, not dimensions.

    Edit: Found the limits:

I use a separate image host imgbb.com it is free. Makes it easy to link right to any forum without the quirks of each forums picture support.

    I have over 800 pics and 37 albums. https://bharnett.imgbb.com

I appreciate the help. However, this still makes me wonder if these limitations and inconvenient workarounds are resulting in fewer members posting. I post on other forums; Vectric, Lumberjocks and Facebook and can post photos as taken on my phone.

This stuff is above my pay grade, but I'll see if I can do anything about making image uploads easier

It might be worth seeing if you could switch this forum to Discouse (and get some HTTPS while you're at it)

I run a discourse forum and the platform is fantastic. I had the luxury of being able to start it from scratch but I have read that there are some PHBbb import methods for it.

You can either pay them to run it, or self host your own. Self hosting is very inexpensive and there are contractors you can get to set it up for you at a nominal fee.
