    Default Some new ShopBot boatbuilders!

ShopBotter John Hoffmann was quarantined this summer with his grandkids, so they decided to build one of my old Quicklap canoe designs. His granddaughter Kit made this video to document the process...congrats to John and to grandkids ZJ, Kit, and Sophie for a great job!

How cool. A lifetime of memories to make with that boat, a lifetime memory already achieved in the making...

    Thanks for sharing
    What a wholesome project.

I must admit I was pretty excited when they told me that it was done and in the water. There's even talk that they might build some more for the rest of the grandkids!

    Hey Kyle,

There is indeed. You can download the whole shebang from http://www.100kprojects.com/project_...uicklap_Canoe/

Be aware that the instructions were done before digital cameras and before it was easy to make things available via download, so it all had to fit..files and instructions!...had to fit on a 1.44 meg floppy disk! We would mail them out to people that wanted to build one.

There's a little bit of info about it here...
