    Default I'm back!

After a few years of "kicking it old school" I am back at the keyboard. I'm down here at the Staunton Mill Shop in Staunton VA now and we have decided to get with the times and bring CNC to our shop. Got the new machine set up and without hesitation jumped straight into a huge custom shutter job.20201007_143149.jpg20201013_102927.jpg20201013_141253.jpg20201013_141306.jpg

Perfect job to jump into it again, and excellent results!
Big fan of wedges, but I add a Shopfox cam clamp to it

Cams where my first though however this job was literaly on hold waiting for the shopbot. Somewhere I have a thumb drive full of nothing but cut cutfiles for tools and gadgets for the bot and the rest of the workshop as well. Cant seem to find it and didnt have time to redraw any of it before we had to get moving on the shutters

What wood did you use? A while back I briefly helped out at a shutter shop. They used Exteria. Having my house resided now with Hardie plank fiber cement. Might build a few shutters down the road.

Sorry for the slow response we used Sapele. We use it for most of our exterior stuff unless the customer wants something different.
