Default PRT Standard Table Size Upgrade

I may have the opportunity to purchase a 2001 PRT Standard 4'x4' CNC.

How difficult and expensive would it be to expand the X-Axis to 8 feet? Obviously the main C-Channel and X axis angle iron rails would have to be changed. As for the rack gears can those added too or would I need full length rack gears? Is there anything else? Is it hard to change the computer side of things?

I would replace the rack with new full length and new pinion gears. Is it the original controller? I have a 2003 and the controller was a dog, upgraded to a prs control much faster and reliable. Software setup for larger table is not an issue.

The controller has been upgraded to a PRT V4g board
Do you know of a good supplier for 10 feet rack gears and new pinion gears?
