    Question Change ramp values in part file

    Is it possible for a part file to change the ShopBot ramp values?

    I’ve had mine change… I think it’s a corrupted file and ShopBot reverting to default.

    Is it possible? Yes, but only if the file has the needed command to do it. If it's something you want to have a file do, I would suggest that you have the file read the current values first and then restore them at the end of the file (or restore defaults). If your values are changing without issuing the VR command, you are doing something that is corrupting SB3's settings, such as improper shutdown of the machine (SB3 first, then control box). There could be other USB/SB3 issues as well that could cause it.

    VR -Values for Ramps{XY-Move Ramp Speed, Z-Move Ramp Speed, A-Move Ramp Speed, B-Move Ramp Speed, XY-Jog Ramp Speed, Z-Jog Ramp Speed, A-Jog Ramp Speed, B-Jog Ramp Speed, Move Ramp Rate, Jog Ramp Rate, 3D Ramp Threshold, Minimum distance, Slow Corner Speed, -obsolete-, -obsolete, KeyPad Ramp Rate}

    Example of default settings...
    VR,0.4,0.4,,,0.4,0.4,,,0.2,0.2,100,0.15,65,,,0.2

    Thanks, I'll give that a try. The values aren't changing on their own (via corrupt file or something). The shopbot I use is at a Makerspace and I've noticed the my program my take 2x or more longer to run then the simulation estimates. I think it's because the ramp values are very conservative - they are all set to 0.1. When I have a long program, I'd like to easily change them, and then change them back again
