    Default 3d printing and ShopBotting

    Hi all,

It appears that there are a fair number of Shopbotters that also have 3d printers. I'm curious if/how you combine 3d printed parts and ShopBot cut parts into the projects you do?

Here are a couple of recent things I've done that use both:

Don't normally mix materials on my projects. Wood-wood etc. However some of the items I printed for my ShopBot enclosure are attached.
All the 4" flanges & hose brackets for my enclosure venting
Of course one has to have a place for the dust collector remote
And last but not least the bracket holding my controller indicator light

I am a modeler that happens to own a Bot, a 3d printer, and a laser. My models are 1/8th scale (1 1/2 inch to the foot)' I do the main structure on da bot and trim and other detail goodies mostly in the 3d (Makerbot) and some on the laser;. If it's a matched set of building I have also cut the detail on da Bot using sintra and a 1/16 ball nose. Russ
