    Default Selling 2010 PRS Alpha 144x72x24 w/ 4hp HSD

We are preparing to post our PRS Alpha machine on our University Surplus site. (I'll let you know when it goes live). I was trying to establish a starting bid price and thought I might ask the group.

The machine has been lightly used (light to moderate use over about 3 years total). We have a second shopbot 48 x 96 with a tool changer that gets most of the use so the decision was made to sell this one.

Through our University Surplus it would come listed as shown and the buyer would be responsible for any auction fees and shipping/pick-up.
I asked Shopbot about PartWorks transfer and they said the buyer would have to contact Vectric and ask for a transfer (estimate $150).

I know these units depreciate a fair bit. I will list the specs and the original price below.
Let me know if you have any questions/feedback and thanks for the help!

I forgot to mention that we are required to sell through our University Surplus, otherwise I could have posted it officially for sale here.

That is one big machine! From what I've seen as asking prices on this forum, you're looking at about 50% depreciation at least, probably more since the machine is 10+ years old. You will probably have a difficult time selling such a monster but someone will want it. If you're using an auction, you might want to put the reserve at $12k or so.

    Many thanks coryatjohn,
That is a great starting point.
I will make sure to add the surplus link to the forum once I get it posted.

    Cheers

Very interested, if it hasn't been sold yet...
