6” index for PRSalpha information?

I want a 6” indexer for my PRSalpha Buddy and am struggling to afford the $3,800 for a new unit from the fine folks at Shopbot Tools. I plan on using the indexer for a class I will be teaching on making guitar necks using a rotary indexer.

I’m a retired engineer and am pretty confident that I can put together my own unit from a few custom parts and an off the shelf Orientalmotor closed loop geared stepper motor and Orientalmotor ARD-A driver adapted to fit a stock Chuck and tail stock. The problem is there are many versions of the closed loop steeper motor and ARD-A driver and I can’t afford to buy the wrong one.

Can anyone out there with a 6” alpha indexer please share the model numbers for their driver and and motor? I’ll be more than happy to reciprocate with any advice when needed.
