Upgrading control software

I just purchased an older PRT from a gentleman who was running Shopbot control version 2.29 in Dos on a old 486 with obviously no CD drive. My question is if I reload the old version 2.29 in a NEW computer with Windows XP, can I use the NEW updated version 3.4.25 PRT posted on the website and download for an instant upgrade, or is that toooo simple?

You don't need to go through the installation of anything else to install 3.4.**. In other words, go with 3.4.25 on this new PC without 2.29.

If my memory sevre me well, you cannot have 2.** on a XP...
