Default A simple test with Corel to cutting

I am testing Corel X4 with a 15 day free install. I am new to using both it and the new shopbot in my garage... And this is FUN!

I want to do a very simple test. For instance draw any simple 3d object in Corel, save it, import it into PartWorks and cut it on the Bot...

Can/would anyone give me the quick tutorial here? I simply want to test the process. I have access to some significant Corel expertise (a good friend) who wants to get involved into this with me. If it is easy enough, then he can do the design work and I can do the woodworking.

So all I need is the step 1) draw it, step 2) how to save it, step 3) how to import it into PartWorks, step 4) cut it...

    Any help is appreciated!

Brian, CorelDraw is a 2D vector graphics program. I use Corel X3, and unless there is something new in X4, I don't believe you can do 3D drawings. You can create 3D looking objects with "extrusions, bevels, etc., but they are not true 3D graphics.
In 2D, draw any shape or text, select it and export it as an eps file, then you can import the eps file into PartWorks.

I believe you are right. The objects only look 3D in CorelDraw... Well that saves me $500 but does not get me the partner I wanted...
    Thanks!

Have you looked at Aspire software? You can draw easier in it than in corel. at least i can . Download their free trial and there is plenty of support for it here and on the vectric site,
