If the above picture is the chair you made and it is a finished product that you would like to reproduce on the shopbot then one way to try to do that is to try to make a digital copy of the chair.
If the chair is able to be disassembled then you could take something like the digitizing probe to copy the seat because that seems to be the "variable" in your design.

Once you have the seat copied you could cut hundreds of them or alter the design to conform to specific customers forms.

You state you are a copy lathe operator, is it a tool with which you could mount your chair and make a copy of your seat as a template for making a copy with the probe?

One thing i recall is seeing a video somewhere and the man was using a axe that was shaped like a scoop to cut the seat indention.

There are actually other ways to make a copy of the profile of your chair and other parts, if this is what you are trying to ask.
