Default PRS Standard Jog /Cut speeds

What are you using for Jog speeds and cut speeds for
    your PRS standard?
    I've been cutting at 3.5 in/sec
    Jog at 4.25in/sec

Anything faster and I start losing steps.
Wonder if I can bump it up a bit.

I lost steps at lower speeds also. Once I updated my software I found cutting at 5+ IPS is not a problem. However, still tend to run slower because I am concerned about the Vacuum hold down letting go (feins).

    Erminio...
I dont have the complete answer, but check these and improve where you can.

Speed test and make sure you are mid 70's+ add USB2 hub and shielded cable

    Use the latest software

Make sure your computer is faily fast dual core, etc and no less than 1 gig of ram.

Turn off anything you can in XP and have it still run. CHeck out BLackViper.com for help

    Erminio,

I surface my table at 8 ips and have the same machine. I cut about the same speeds you do. When I jog over 10 it starts getting unreliable.

I think the machie will run quicker and you need to look at all the PC things that could slow you down.

    Thanks Guys!

I my comm after speed test is about 86%
    Not bad
I have been using 3.6.14 since it's release.
I've had everything off in XP

Only thing left is the computer

    Ultimate solution- upgrade to Alpha
    (maybe when business picks up!)

    I'll keep you posted

Drop back to 3.5.9 That is what I am running and I get better speeds without the lost steps. I tried 3.6.12 and I start loosing steps when I get up to 4.5 IPS while surfacing my table.

I'll give a try,Jerry.Though I had the same issue with previous versions.

I was jogging @ 6"/sec all was fine for a while, then suddenly the gantry jammed and lost steps.
Seems to happen in the same vicinity.

    No problems jogging @ 4.25"/sec

I do have a PRS Drill attached.
I was wondering if the added weight might be a factor.

Not a big problem.Just trying to find a solution.
