    Default Air Drill Updaed!!!!

I just finished updating my Air Drill.
It now turns on- plunges-turns off as it pulls up-turns on as it plunges........
    It works very well.
Air consumption is at minimum.Compressor is no longer struggling to keep up.
    It makes drilling a pleasure.

If any one has an Air Drill you need to make this simple modification!

A big thanks to Nat Wheatly.Bill Lumley(you'll see it in action soon,Bill)and indirectly Gary Campbell.
We really do have a great group here working for the common good!

PS ShopBot-You might want to seriously think about this simple modification.($18.00 solenoid value ,a few fittings and modified post processor)

    Erminio,

Glad to help. When I changed mine over it was a relief to be able to give my compressor some 'breathing room'. I have Gary C to thank. He what turns out to be a fairly easy fix, and saved me from buying a new compressor

I'll echo the thought that, for the minimal investment, it would make sense to incorporate this as a standard feature.

    Good luck with everything.

    Nat

Are you guys saying that the new PRS air drill runs all the time in between holes?

My PRT air drill cycles on and off as needed.

    Yes Mike
It continually run from the start to end of the drilling cycle.
It is a very easy fix.
I guess it is a case of not realizing there is an issue until you personally experience it.

I spoke to Shopbot about this and I believe they are working on it.
