    Default Holding Drill Bits

I'm curious what everyone uses to hold drill bits during the drilling cycle. I am currently still using the router and have not got an air drill yet. Does someone make a chuck that will handle the high rpm's of the router and allow more flexibility than just 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 shank sizes?

    Alex...
Most drill or Jacobs type chucks have a maximum rpm range lower than a router or spindle can reach.

If you need to drill holes, you should be able to buy end mills with virtually any size CED and a shaft diameter to match one of the ones you list above. Many places will also custom grind a tool or tools for you.

What diameter are you looking for?
