    Default Painting Edge Lit signs

    Hey Guys,
Does anyone have any advise on painting acrylic signs. The acrylic comes with some masking on it. However When I V carve the edge of the mask doesnt do so good, and my spray paint gets in spots I dont want it in. It looks as if these signs are going to have to be painted by hand.

Anyway to get around painting by hand with a brush?

The protective covering on acrylic sheets is NOT a mask. It is not intended to cut cleanly, but rather to protect the surface in shipping. Pull off the covering, paint first....THEN V Carve to do reverse lit letters, or apply a mask to the acrylic and then rout to do painted translucent illuminated lettering....D

    Thanks alot Darrell,
I assumed the covering on the acrylic was as good as a mask. I will try the avery product that one of the Bill's suggested in a different thread. I think I might have lucked out, it seems I got off the over spray with finger nail polish remover and it didn't haze the acrylic. Thanks for the input.
