I can't see your example, but I use Flexisign on the MAC to set the jobs up and then convert them to DXF files for the ShopBot on the PC. DXF seems to be pretty stable for my set-up.

It's best to upload a JPG instead of a BMP.

You might try using inkscape tp copy the card and the vectors rather then trying to recreate it but usually you have a lot of node editing to do with small business cards because of the resolution.

Carroll, what program are you using to create it in?

I see it now. It's small but it looks somewhat like helvetica black condensed. I usually import the scanned bus. card & use it as a template to reset the text, then use the distort tool to match the curve to the type on the card. Just need to know the correct font. Then convert it to a DXF file & send it to the PC out in the shop.

I tried to download the image Mike loaded to see if I could set up a DXF file, but it's telling me it was created with an application I don't have. (I'm on a MAC). When this happens I can usually open it with a PC and convert it to something the MAC will open. Unfortunately I have some stuff I have get done so I better get back to it.

This is really easy to do in Corel. I am using version 12, so yours may look a little different if your version is different.

Type a line of text, then draw a separate oval or circle.

Select your text, then click on the Text menu to make it expand to a drop-down list. The 4th option from the top is "Fit Text to Path." Click on that and your cursor will change to a black arrow.

Click the pointer end of the arrow anywhere on the oval or circle you have drawn, and your text will conform to that shape.

If you don't see options near the top of your screen for positioning your text relative to the curved shape, right-click on the blank grey area to the right of the Help menu and be sure "Property Bar" is checked.

Once you are happy with the text, you can delete the oval or circle that you used to arch the text.

    Hope this helps!
