Alain...
You can put in a single 5mm compression and do this. You can also manually change bits during the file after drilling is complete. The newer machines have a saftey lockout installed for this purpose.
You will also have to configure and install toolchanger files to your machine.

Welcome Alain.
Someone else was using a 5mm bit on here for everything. A little slow for cutting but can be done.
Where are you located and what machine do you have?
I'm in casselman, near Ottawa
I bought the shopbot used 2 months ago, PRS standard ,old frame but has spindle and 4G updated board. I ran the machine with vcarve pro and change bit beetween operation.
Bought ecab link, and want to cut and drill, but need to change bit afer drill operation.
PS:what the tool changer file or virtual tool changer people are thaking.

Welcome to the world of ShopBot. You can find more info on the toolchanger files here: http://www.shopbottools.com/garysmusings.htm#Link1
ShopBot has included files for this with the software, but they may need some adjustments for your machine. I think they may have an instruction on how to do this, you may want to contact tech support for its location.

I decided a while back to purchase 1/4" pins and then just use a 1/4" end mill for most everything cabinet related.
John,
That works great if you are not building frameless and using the system holes for hinge plates and shelves.
Thank's for the link Gary, I'll try to figure it out.
John
I also look at 1/4'' pins but I mostly do frameless cabinets and didn't find a 1/4 pin that hold down the self like my 5mm clips.

If you cant get the OEM toolchanger files to work, send me an email at islaww(@)comcast.net

I am using 5mm compression from centurion for all my cabinet work. This is with a PRT 4G and a 3.5 Milwaukee router. The only complaint I have is the tight dadoes. I use 2 passes- climb then conventional on outlines. My speed is 2.5 ips I think. I am happy with the results. I find it takes 15-20 minutes per sheet for all my cuts and drilling. This is more than fast enough for me working by myself.
