Default Rob Bell speaks at Google

ShopBotter (and Sketchup-er) extraordinaire Rob Bell was at the Googleplex in California last month for the Sketchup "3dBaseCamp", and gave a great talk on how he uses Sketchup and his ShopBot to make all kinds of cool things. The video of his talk has just been posted on youTube and is a must-see.

(his part starts about 34:40 into the video)

    Great job Rob!

    Alas, no!

But at least the BT-32 found a good home. It ended up in Boulder with the Sketchup folks.

It was hands down the best software conference I've ever been to. The Googleplex is great. And Cameron Sinclair's keynote speech was very inspirational. Also on youtube.

I like sketchup, but haven't had a chance to use it. What I have done has amazed me with its easy user interface. Then I quickly find myself wanting to do something and not knowing how.. so I go back to familiar tools.

I enjoyed the Video.. thanks for letting us know it was out there!

The Sketchup guys are still adding talks from the Basecamp to youTube, so if you're a Sketchup fan (or even if you're not), I'm sure you'll find something that'll interest you.

There are also a lot of video tutorials for Sketchup online...here are some of my favorite youTube channels
