Nice! It reminds me of a show I saw on HD Theater this week about the Shelby Cobra Daytona coupes.

It showed the plywood buck of the car body shape made of plywood. They used it to test-fit the body panels they were rolling and hammering from sheet aluminum.

It looks as if you could scale that up life-size, buy a bunch of sheets of aluminum, and go to town!

Very cool. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Somehow I feel an urge to eat waffles.

That's very cool. How big is it?

Welcome to the forum. Can't wait to see your next project!

    thanks for the kind words

how big is it: you know it's 2d file, you can scale it as you want
    i design it 1,8 * 4,04 * 1,34 (like the real one)
and for the thickness of each part 0,05

Très bien, Fabrice!! I also like the picture you show in your profile. Can you share the technique you used to make that? Looks like you might have converted a photo to a 256 shade grayscale, then converted 256 gray shades to 256 Z heights?

For what it is worth, boat, airplane and car lofting are three different animals. If you are planning on doing a full scale project it will benefit you to learn why each one is considerably different.

Computers do a wonderful job of fairing and are a lot faster than hand lofting IF one knows what they are doing.
