WOW thanks gents: My hubby had many questions but has decided after reading many post and the problems on this machine to choose another company and machine for his needs.
He emailed a few gents from here and was not happy with the answers.

I'm surprised that he went elsewhere. I hope that the company he chooses will have the support he has here. A lot of people select Shopbot because the support is there.

These types of posts where people get 'talked out of' a ShopBot are, at best, old & lame. Housewives don't just pick out a $10k+ robotic tool for their husband. They might pick one out for themselves, but not their husband...especially if they are humble enough to apply the 'housewife' label in this day & age. Someone's been drinking sour grapes...

He must have bought an AXYZ :-). If youre not happy with a Shopbot you either sell it or get it resolved. You don't still hang out here if you sold it. Brady I think you're right, it doesn't add up.

this open forum keeps pushing us to improve a great tool. not "FIX" as often as, "oops" I was pushing the limits of what I should do, and messed something up -- help me repair it.

Some nerve you people have!!! If I have ordered this gift for my husband everyone would be my new friend but since my husband decided it would not meet his needs you all turn raciest and sexist. Your mothers should be proud that they as ladies had the mental ability to raise such good spoken young men like yourselves.
