Question on adding t track to table

I am in the process of building the vacuum table. I have the first layer made of 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood with plastic laminate on both sides. I am going to build the plenum in zones separated by t track. My question is my t track is 5/8" thick by 1 9/16 wide. I was planning to make the plenum 3/4" thick. If I dado the t track into the plenum it does not leave any room to screw it down without hitting the plywood layer. Do I glue the t track without screws? Or do I mount them directly to the plywood and laminate layer and make the plenum separate pieces separated by the t track instead on a full sheet with grid and dados? My table is 60 x 96 so I plan on having 4 - 24 x 48 zones and 1 - 12 x 96 zone. Does anyone have any ideas on mounting the t track?

Take 1/8" plexi strips as wide as the t track and screw the track thru the plexi into the table. Then cut your plenum into sections and glue it to the table.

I just routed grooves in the plenum layer equal in depth to the thickness of the T-track, then epoxied the T-track in, and screwed it down to the plywood layer. You don't have to worry about air leaking in around the screws.

I did a table configuration similar to this in Milwaukee for some folks down there.
I also use T-track in my current set , and I always try and ensure it is lower then my spoilboard, so I can get a few good surfacings out of it.
You should be able to dado slots in the spoilboard, and use a a 3/4 inch mdf board for the spoilboard and surface it down a 1/16th or so to open up the surface. then set the dados a 1/16th above break through on the bottom of the spoilboard, and make sure you seal this area with some form of sealant to reduce loss of vacuum. your screws will then go through remaining skin on spoilboard, as well as bite into plenum board.
