    Default Vcarve Bamboo

    I'm V carving some bamboo cutting boards.
    Any suggestions or concerns

    Sharp bits... keep em moving! For profile we have better luck with O flutes than Compression or end mill. Watch the grain change as chipping will happen.

    cutting to shape a downcut bit works great I just cut 5 sheets. but if you want a smooth cut it is best to do a cleanup pass. bamboo tends to not cut smoothly.
    the ply can warp too when vcarving if you remove much surface material.
