    Default Blue foam

    I nead to glue some blue foam in layers. What is the best glue for this ,thanks

    contact will melt it, epoxy or alpharetic yellow glue.

    David, I use Elmer's Craft Bond spray adhesive. I get it at Wal Mart in the craft section. I spray a light coat on both sides. The nozzle puts out a really fine spray so don't over do it, you don't need much.

    If your looking for some foam to carve but need it thicker than the 2" find someone that does simulated stone with a hotwire cutter. They will have a denser foam up to 4'x4'x8' and routes very well. A block runs around $350

    I'm a big fan of PL300, though I've never tried to Bot through it after lamination (might gum up the bit).

    Foam is popular with model railroaders for subdeck as it is light, strong, and can be easily carved for terrain.

    Besides aliphatic resin glue, latex caulk and "Liquid Nails for Projects" (and only that particular flavor of Liquid Nails) are commonly used with success to bond sheets of blue insulation foam into layout subdecking.
