    Default 2.2 HP Spindle bearings noise

    I just got ShopBot up and running. Just surface the table.Went to cut air camber for vac hold down. Fire it up, my 2.2 hp spindle is making noise.
    I did a 5 min warm up each time.What is going on Please help

    you want to warm it up for 10 minutes. start at 9k and go to 18k

    Just tryed it at 7k and went to 8k.It is fine.
    How do I find out what the rps are by k factor x what.

    there is a way to setup the spindle control box to show rpms. but I can't remember the info is. it's somewhere on this site.

    Is warming the spindle with a light bulb or heat lamp the same as warming up the spindle from a cold start?
