Just found out that you can't have a comma "," in a *.sbp file name
It kinda messes with the software and delimits your character string in the wrong place

Gabe,
I think it is a Windows thing.
No, it's the shopbot control software. It uses a comma for the delimiting character.
FP, file_name.sbp, 1, 1, 1, 1, 0, -0.00, 0, 0, 1, 1
vs.
FP, file,name.sbp, 1, 1, 1, 1, 0, -0.00, 0, 0, 1, 1
The second sees "file" as the file name and "name.sbp" as the first parameter.
Windows disallows some characters in file names, but not the comma.

I also know, as I have learned this at least 20 times, you cannot use the (&) ampersand in a filename. I think a couple of those times SB Tech Supt reminded me that I already knew that!

I try to never use any special characters other than the dash (-) or underscore (_) if you can call them special characters, in a file name. Definitely do not use a comma. SB is not the only program that will screw up with a commas in the name. Seen it happen too many times.
I know this probably doesnt come up a lot for shopbotters but... Web protocols and some databases dont recognize any special chars except the underscore (including spaces). there are also issues with caps sensitivity. So if you ever find in the future you need to post files to a FTP server or do an XML catalog of files or something similar, best practice demands all filenames to be all lowercase with only the underscore. just my $.02

What if you enclose the filename in double quotes?
I had a set of 33 1.75" blocks and It was getting confusing so I just labeled them by their X,Y location "vcarve 1,3 key 90 vbit" and so on, It's been driving me nuts for two weeks and I knew it was a newbie thing and to proud to post. FILE NOT FOUND and and FP PARAMETERS EXCEEDED had me talking to myself "IT'S RIGHT $^&^$#&* THERE! Of course once I figured out it was the comma and did a search, here it was. Next time I'll ask.
