Does anyone have a source for a 1/8 inch bit (1/4 collet) with the length to cut through 3/4.
Thanks,
Todd

centurion has one as well .. look in the straight flutes..

centurions bit is around only .5 inch in cutter height. I needed a .75 cutter length and called, theirs wasn't long enough.
Mitch is correct, Centurion has one.

Thank you all for the information. Can I get away with cutting 3/4 maple at 1 ips in 3, 1/4 passes? I am not sure how fragile these are. I an cutting some fine detail stuff

Do your roughing pass to remove as much material as possible. Then follow up with your 1/8 bit. There not cheap
IS THIS WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR AT CENTURION.
SKU: 18SF2.752.5RES14Product: 1/8" DIAMETER 3/4" CUT LENGTH 1/4" SHANKQuantity: 2Price: 20.70Total: 41.40

Todd,
The short answer is no. I have used that exact bit to do some area clears in soft maple(.2 deep @ 1"/sec) and snapped them right off. Take a lighter pass, as it gets mighty expensive to spend $20.70 for 2 inches of cut.
I don't think it is a centurion issue, it is just a lot leverage on the bit, and the way it is made doesn't leave much meat where it transitions down from .25" to .125".
centurion is coming out with a 1/8 O-flute with a 3/4 cut length..... they just decided that in the last day or so..
