Cost of power to run the ShopBot?

Has anyone figured an actual cost to run a ShopBot with the computer on and a 2-1/2 HP spindle with a 1 HP vacuum.
I'm running 2 jobs that is taking 32 hours each!
I'm only cutting HDU, so there is no load.
I think a computer only costs 3 or 4 cents an hour.
Any guesses?

Go read your electric meter. Record the value, then come back in an hour (or so) and record another value.

Knowing the time elapsed:
t = time between readings
kwh0 = initial reading
kwh1 = second reading
d = duration of the job
c = cents per kwh from the electric company


Figure how many hours you will be running the bot, then figure in your electric rate, and you have your cost. There is the math:

Cost = (kwh1-kwh0)*d*c/t

The result is in cents, so adjust the decimal place to get dollars.

If you know the power consumption of all your various devices used in the job, add them up and use this website:

http://www.csgnetwork.com/energycostcalc.html

to calculate your costs. That's how I did it and the numbers are really close.
