Default Bot moves half distance of what screen says

I just fired up my PRSalpha BT32 (router) for the first time. As per user guide, it initially asked for the proper setting file for my unit for the Shopbot.ini. There was only one benchtop in the list, so I chose that one. All looked OK, so first thing I did was hit the K and started manually moving my axis around with the keypad. Problem is, in all axis, for every inch the software screen says it moves, it only actually physically moves ½ inch. I am assuming there is a simple setting I need to tweak to correct this?

Mine did the same thing, but I had 7.2 gears. With the help of ShopBot support I had to go in and change the values of X,Y and Z. If it is exactly half the distance, you could double the value and should get the correct movements.

Look at your unit values [VU], they should be 2482.8171 for the x and y axis, and 2979.3805 for the z axis

Thank you George and Mike, when I put the values George posted, it did indeed move the distance it says on the screen. That was easy. My email to support about this yesterday morning hasn't been answered yet.

Glad it worked out. I also have a PRSalpha BT32 with a spindle. If you have any problems you can either post them here or send me an e-mail. I might be able to help out.
