    Default E-Chain X96 Kit

I'm finally at the point that this week we're going to be able to order our Shopbot (it's been a long wait!).

Looking through the pricelist I was adding up the items I wanted to order, and came across the E-Chain.

Can anyone tell me what this is? Is it something I should be ordering?

    Thanks!

E-chain are plastic cable carrier system to guide and protect moving cables and hoses on automated machinery.
These are also known as Energy Chain. If you are buying a shopbot then you must buy it... It will keep your cables safe and your bot will have a professional look...

Must buy is a little strong in my opinion. I am sure there are more botters that don't have an E-Chain than do. I don't have one. They are nice and give the machine a clean look but not a must unless you have a low ceiling. Ask ShopBot the total height of the machine you are getting.

Ok, I've seen those on machines.

I'll probably go ahead and order one also
I have enough loose cables running around, anything that can keep things looking neater is a plus.

When I ordered my 5'X10'Alpha PRS it came standard. I never paid anything extra for it. In my opinion it makes installation easier and certainly makes it a much more clean of a installation. Order it, I would have paid extra for it if it didn't come standard on my machine. You won't be sorry. It also comes with a tray for it to track in on the backside of the machine. I am talking about my PRS and it may not apply to "Buddy's"?
