Custom Time & Neon

The material for this panel is Trupan, and painted with Latex & Sculpt Nouveau. Will finish tomorrow.





This panel will be finished tomorrow. Will post the final then.

Great job Joe. I purchased some of the roundover bits you have been talking about. It looks like that is what you used for the simulated lights. I hope to be doing some test cuts with them here in the near future.

Good for you Andy.
Yep, I used a brad point round over for the red lights. I probably use these bits for creative work more than other.

This project is now ready for neon plant. Finished up in about two hours. I made a mistake, which cost me another hour, by not putting down the drop shade first. I chose the Omaha Orange shade since it's a complement on the color wheel. Makes for a punchy look.

Where did you learn all of this?

How long have you been in business?

Are you self employed? (I assume so)

Greetings Rick,

I opened up business in the spring of 1980. Four brushes and a few pints of One Shot lettering enamel. My first big investment was an overhead projector. With that equipment I thought I owned the art world. I could paint anything!

I owe all my skills to other Letterhead Sign Artists and my profession of Art Teacher.
