Well I would have to say that I have viewed several times too see what others were using. I wish I had a choice but at this time I'm just on the sidelines with no access to a machine at this time

IT wasnt the number of views I was really commenting on.

At present only 42 people know what software version they are running or have taken the time to check the box. Seems with 5000+ machines and 539 active forum members, more than a small percentage of them would check a box as to which version they are running.

I'm using version 3.6.32 right now. What's the difference between what I'm using and version 3.6.36?
Does it make any sense for me to update?

I'm using 3.6.34 I upgrade every 5 or 6 versions. It seems to work for me.

I just got a 2001 PRT 48x96 . I have been reading the forum . I read some people are saying they run better with newer PC ( mine is older 1.4 gig with 512 memory and ShopBot version 3.4.27 ) ) I have a much newer PC that I can put in its place with 2.4 P4 and 2 gig memory. Should I upgrade it and the software ?

Kent,
If you have the original PRT control board, you'll need to stay with the version you are on (3.4.27). If you have upgraded to a 4G control board, then I'd say you should upgrade.

If you are still on the original control board, you should consider an upgrade to a 4G or the equivalent they are selling now if you can swing it - it'll make it seem like you have a new machine. I was very impressed when I upgraded the PRT I had at the time.

It has the original board at this time. That is also on my mind whether to go with 4g or other... I am used to Mach3 . But don't mind learning ShopBot ...
Will learn with what I have and hopefully upgrade to something soon afterwards.

Just trying to figure out which way , Bang for buck so to speak
